JATSON CHOEKHORLING COMMUNITY OF CARLISLE, PA. is a Bhutanese Nepali organization with distinct cultural beliefs (i.e., Tamang, Gurung, Magar & Sherpa) that provides services to our community, regularly scheduled services, and an organized assemblage. It encompasses various cultural, customs, rituals, ideas, and meditation teaching based on original teachings attributed to Buddhism to help with mental health issues, yoga classes, clarity of mind, and interpreted philosophies with due respect to other existing religions.
The guiding principles of JATSON CHOEKHORLING COMMUNITY OF CARLISLE, PA. are three universal truths (nothing is lost in the universe, everything changes, the law of cause and effect),
Five Golden Vows
A). Refrain from taking life; No Killing.
B.) Refrain from taking what is not given; No Stealing.
C.) Refrain from sexual misconduct.
D.) Refrain from any type of wrong speech; No Lying.
E.) Refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind; No Alcohol or Drug Abuse*.
Four Motive (Providing the services to the community, educate community members of cultural beliefs, promote mental health awareness & meditations, provide overall help/support to the community members to each of their own necessity).
